Job advertisements on SEEK are on the rise according to the company’s latest “employment snapshot” (a Covid-recovery fixture) but still at 68.3 per cent of pre-COVID levels.

威廉希尔赔率分析According to the report, job ad volumes have increased by 21.9 per cent in last two weeks compared to the previous two weeks.

Interestingly, the two largest states in Australia have the furthest to go to reach pre-Covid job advertisement levels (put perhaps not surprisingly given the rise in cases in Victoria). Victoria is sitting at 59.6 per cent of before Covid figures, and NSW 61.1 per cent.

威廉希尔赔率分析“Trades and services” is among the top recovering categories by volume, with job ads at 85.4 per cent previous levels, along with jobs in mining, resources and energy, at 82.2 per cent.

Looking less healthy are jobs in the real estate and property, which are down 64.3 per cent, construction (down 57.8 per cent) and design and architecture (down 54.3 per cent).

Environmental Justice Australia, formerly the Environment Defenders Office, Victoria, has appointed two people to lead the organisation in a joint-chief executive officer model. Nicola Rivers and Elizabeth McKinnon are now co-CEOs of the environmental legal organisation.

威廉希尔赔率分析Rivers has been promoted to the shared top job after serving as the director of advocacy and research at the organisation for around 12 years.

威廉希尔赔率分析McKinnon is returning to the organisation after a stint as general counsel at the Australian Conservation Foundation. She was formerly a public interest environmental litigator at Environment Defenders Office Victoria.

威廉希尔赔率分析The pair have a combined 32 years of experience working as lawyers in the environmental justice space.

The former Commissioner for Sustainability and the Environment in the ACT, Kate Auty, has been appointed as chair of EPA Victoria. She will replace Cheryl Batagol, who was also the inaugural chair of the Cooperative Research Centre for Water Sensitive Cities.

Nik Killis has returned to Hassell 威廉希尔赔率分析for a “second act” as head of clients and future business, after working with the design studio in business development earlier in his career.

威廉希尔赔率分析In the interesting, far-reaching new role he’ll work with clients and combine insights and data – both from clients and Hassell – into the design process to directly benefit project outcomes.

Killis was most recently digital advisory and regional client leader for Australasia at Arup.

Also heading off from his regular gig is Tony Arnel who is stepping down from his role as global director of sustainability at Norman Disney & Young after eight years.

Arnel has had a big profile in the industry, as Victoria’s building commissioner for 12 years,  chair of the Green Building Council of Australia and of the World Green Building Council where he was awarded the Chairman’s Award for championing sustainability in the built environment.

He will remain in his professorial role with Deakin University, as president of the Energy Efficiency Council and as non-executive director of Forest and Wood Products Australia.

Northrop has appointed five new principals: Aaron Hughes (Sydney structural section manager), Angus Brien (flooding group manager, Newcastle), Josh Neil (lead structural engineer, Brisbane), Kieran Steele (electrical manager, Canberra) and Simon Matthews (hydraulic and fire discipline manager, Sydney).

Perth has set itself up with an Events, Culture and the Arts Advisory Committee, one of three committees that make up the City of Perth’s $18 million relief and rebound package, with artist and urban planner Peter Ciemitis威廉希尔赔率分析 a principal at RobertsDay, selected to sit on the new committee.
